[not the $ex poem you think it is]

i want to write about sex

raw and uncut

full stop. it’s likely i’m about to disappoint you, and i’d rather be upfront and do so early. 

[imagine if everyone did that when it came to sex?] while you are in for something erotic, if you were ready for smut, you won’t find that here. i’m sorry. though, that is more of what i originally had in mind, and it will soon come. allow me to begin again from the top. 

i want to write about sex

raw and uncut

as in unfiltered and unedited

but of course that was a double entendre

though i prefer the word “intact”

meaning whole. natural. 

as something is intended to be. 

sex is natural. 

humans have sex

other animals have sex

even plants have sex

sex creates 

creates pleasure. creates pain. 

the line between them is slender and subjective

sex creates life

it is THE creative force

the origin of all life
